Training and Assessment in the Clinical Environment
Welcome to the RCS TrACE course!
This one day course, with its supporting pre-course materials, will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed for the roles and responsibilities of a clinical and educational supervisor. As it is mapped against the areas of competency outlined in the GMC Standards for the Recognition and Approval of Trainers, the TrACE course offers a route to formal recognition as a clinical or educational supervisor.
Training the Trainers
The Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) Training the Trainers (TTT) course develops surgeons as clinical trainers. Participants will gain an understanding of how adults learn, so that they can plan, develop, deliver and evaluate training effectively. They will also look at the behaviours and attitudes that are essential to the ethical and professional trainer. The course is invaluable to anyone delivering training and for surgeons interested in teaching on RCS courses.
